by MMHS • 24 April 2015

Maternal Mental Health Scotland and the NSPCC have collaborated to release a report identifying gaps in the care of women affected by perinatal mental illness in Scotland.

“Scotland has made great progress in developing services for women, and their families, who experience perinatal mental illness. However, this report highlights that significant gaps remain, particularly in the lack of community specialised services.” – Elaine Clark, Chair, MMHS

Here you can download the full report, Getting It Right for Mothers and Babies: Closing the gaps in community perinatal mental health services. (.pdf, 11 mb).

Here you can download the summary report Getting It Right for Mothers and Babies (.pdf, 2 mb).

The release of the report was covered in The Herald, Holyrood, Third Force News, and The National.
